To the Irv Homer family:
I am so sorry to hear that Irv has passed away. Although I live in Bklyn, N. Y., I have for many yrs talked to friends & business acquaintances that while i lived and worked in the Phil, area I listened too the best talk show host EVER. I remember a few yrs back sending Irv an e/mail that if I ever became a millionaire, I would come after him & put him up agnst,R.L., G.B., & S.H., & let them hear a real talk show host. God Bless You Irv & r.i.p. -

We could use a voice Like Irv Homer on the radio waves again. When I first started to
listen to talk radio some 15 years ago I happened upon WWDB and could not turn it off.
The main reason I tuned in was because of Irv Homer. While I did not agree with him
all the time I respected his opinion, so much so that I started to tune in to Inside Story
with Marc Howard on Sundays just to watch Mr Homer. I was saddened to hear the passing
of Mr Homer and will miss the voice of reason. Although you have signed off here I still
want to say thank you Mr Homer for introducing me to talk radio. -

Hearing his voice always makes me weep. I miss him on radio so much. What would he be saying today about how Rush Limbaugh has trashed talk radio? What would he be saying about todays political scene with President Obama being trashed by hate mongers and lunatics?
No need to ask, I know.
